The new website, market-specific destination presentations, promotional brochures and sustainable events guide provide event professionals with new resources to plan congresses, meetings and incentive programmes in Sitges.
Sitges Convention Bureau, a programme of the Tourism Department of Sitges Town Council, has launched new communication and promotional tools to strengthen the destination’s position in the MICE market and make it easier for event organisers to explore Sitges’ specialised offering.
These new resources are part of the promotional materials developed by the Tourism Department under the Tourism Sustainability Plan for Destinations (PSTD), funded by the European Union through Next Generation EU.
A new website to plan events in Sitges4
The new www.sitgescb.cat website presents the destination’s MICE offering in a more visual, accessible and practical way, providing information on hotels, convention centres, unique venues, restaurants, experiences and specialised services.
One of its key new features is the event planner, a tool that helps organisers identify the venues and experiences that best suit the requirements of each event.
The website also makes it easier to request free, impartial advice from Sitges Convention Bureau when planning congresses, conventions, corporate meetings and incentive programmes.
New destination presentations tailored to MICE markets
Sitges Convention Bureau has also developed new destination presentations specifically designed for its main market segments:
- Associations and congresses, featuring information on conference facilities, capacities and services for professional events.
- Corporate meetings and incentives, showcasing venues, experiences and activities for companies.
- Automotive and mobility, highlighting venues and resources suitable for product launches, brand events and activities related to the sector.
These presentations provide a more targeted approach to promoting Sitges, with content adapted to the interests and requirements of different event organisers. They also serve as valuable sales and marketing tools for trade fairs, workshops, destination presentations and event bids.
New promotional brochures and a guide to sustainable events
The new resources also include promotional brochures and an updated version of the Green and Sustainable Events Manual, designed to help event organisers integrate sustainability criteria into the planning and delivery of events in Sitges.
These materials reinforce the destination’s commitment to more responsible business tourism and provide professionals with useful resources to explore everything Sitges has to offer.
New videos showcasing the experiences of Sitges
The Tourism Department has also produced four new promotional videos: one presenting the destination as a whole and three focusing on culture, food and wine, and nautical tourism.
With a more dynamic, engaging and direct approach, the videos showcase the diversity of experiences available in Sitges, many of which can also complement meeting, congress and incentive programmes.
This initiative also includes new product catalogues, experience guides and three digital platforms designed for different audiences: Sitges Anytime, the Sitges Tourism professionals’ website and the Sitges Convention Bureau website.
Sitges, a MICE destination that continues to evolve
All these new resources form part of the Tourism Sustainability Plan for Destinations, “Sitges, a Sustainable, Competitive, Inclusive and Smart Tourism Destination”, aligned with the Tourism Marketing Plan 2024–2028.
With these tools, Sitges Convention Bureau expands the resources available to MICE professionals, strengthens the destination’s specialised promotion and facilitates connections between event organisers and local businesses.
